New Seasons Market

New Seasons Market has helped Zoe, 14, learn guitar this year. Zoe’s current goal is to learn how to play Fast Car by Tracy Chapman. Though she likes playing music, Zoe has said that she probably won’t make a living off of it; she wants to become a marine biologist to help protect her favorite mammal, the humpback whale.

Trailhead Credit Union

Trailhead helped Xavier get started playing piano. In his first few months playing piano Xavier has learned the intro to Beethoven’s Fur Elise, and can play and sing Tiny Dancer by Elton John. Xavier, a freshman at Madison HS, hopes to be able to record his own album in 2022.

OMSI

Music is Math! OMSI’s contribution has made it possible for Syeda to learn ukulele this year. Syeda, 12, has said that playing the ukulele helps give her a brain break between online classes. She’s currently working on playing (and soon singing!) Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
